Participating in the Green Tra...
Green Travel Plan Day was celebrated at school on the 6 April 2022, thanks to the full and much-appreciated support and cooperation of the police force. The day began with all the students and teachers walking up to school instead of by car or van. Thanks to Victoria Local Council, the whole of Palm Street was closed to traffic and to parking all day long. Students moved from one station to another according to a well-planned timetable. Thanks to the support and coordination of each and every one of the educators, who were kept very busy all day, each student had the opportunity of listening to a very interesting talk on road safety, learning about the Cavalry- all of the students petted the horses and most of them had a ride on them too! - "driving" a police motorbike, a police car and segway, and even pressing the siren for effect!
They had time to ride their own bikes and scooters (thanks to the parents for their full cooperation in delivering the bikes and scooters on time). And Ms Valeria photographed each student, so that they would have a photo of this memorable day to treasure.
